Applications for the 2008-2009 Season are no longer being accepted.
Should you choose not to audition after you have applied, please call 404.733.4830 or email Lindsay Fisher to cancel your audition. Failure to appear without notice at a scheduled audition will cause your 2009-2010 application to be rejected. You may re-apply for the 2010-2011 season.
Audition results will be emailed on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, and will be posted on our website after 5pm on Tuesday, September 16, 2008. No audition results will be given out by phone. No exceptions.
Chosen alternates will not participate in seating auditions. Alternates will be contacted in the event that a current member is unable to fulfill his or her membership obligations, for a single concert or for the remainder of the season. ASYO alternates are not required to pay tuition and do not receive the privileges of full membership unless called upon to permanently replace a current member.
Eligibility: Must be 13 years old by September 30, 2008 (no exceptions), a member of good standing in his/her school music program (if the school has a music program), and pass the audition.
Tuition for the 2008-2009 season will be $350.00 per student. This is payable in two installments of $175.00 due in September and January.
Applications for the 2009-2010 Season will be available from May to August 2009. At that time, they may be downloaded from this site or obtained from the ASO offices at 1280 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 4074. Please call 404.733.4830 or email Lindsay Fisher.
There is a non-refundable application fee of $30.00.
Excerpts will be available online and then mailed to applicants within two weeks of receipt of application and fee. We do not fax excerpts. Audition excerpts are not available until mid-June. Audition excerpts change annually.
