The Orchestra
The ASO is a Grammy Award-winning, internationally-renowned ensemble now in its 62nd season.  Flourishing under the Creative Partnership of Music Director Robert Spano and Principal Guest Conductor Donald Runnicles since 2001, the ASO is in a period of artistic prosperity and innovation unparalleled in its history.

During this era, the ASO already has released 13 CDs—remarkable in a time when most American orchestras are recording rarely, if ever, garnering five Grammy Awards (for a total of 23)—and has commissioned, performed and recorded new music by today’s most prominent and emerging composers.  With critically acclaimed performances in the U.S. and abroad, the ASO has solidified its place among the world’s very best orchestras.

Atlanta Symphony Center
Designed by world-renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, the Symphony Center will serve as the Orchestra's full-time performance, rehearsal, teaching and administrative home.  Located on 14th Street, the Symphony Center property realizes the ASO's civic vision for a mixed-use development that brings commercial and cultural interests together in the heart of Atlanta.  The new Center will be a cornerstone of the Woodruff Arts Center Village for the Arts and create a vital resource for Atlanta and the State of Georgia.

Woodruff Arts Center
The Woodruff Arts Center is the largest arts center in the Southeast and also is one of the four largest in the nation. The Woodruff is unique in that it combines five visual and performing arts divisions on one campus as one not-for-profit organization. Opening in 1968, the Woodruff Arts Center is home to the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the High Museum of Art, Young Audiences and the 14th Street Playhouse.

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is a founding member of the Woodruff Arts Center.
